Ingredients

  • 170g Dates

  • 1 whole Orange

  • 6 tbsp Golden syrup

  • 85g Soft brown sugar

  • 170 ml Corn oil

  • 2 Eggs

  • 230g Plain wholemeal flour

  • 1 1/2 tsp Baking powder

  • 1/4 tsp Salt

Directions

  1. Cut orange into quarters place in blender and blitz
  2. Put dates in a blender with orange
  3. Pulse the blender to chop the dates roughly (don’t chop up too fine)
  4. Transfer the orange and dates into a mixer
  5. Add all the other ingredients and mix well
